You are welcome Erich, the black model is meant for testing the US market as I never seen one in person. And I have not even open one to see how it looks myself until you showed up. LOL, was busy breaking boxes and packing so people will not get mad at me after waiting for 5 months!! ;)

Well I just saw my tracking and it looks like they'll be here tomorrow. The bad news is that I'm instantly sad now that I see the black ones. Those are the ones I really wanted.... Seems like a shame to crack these open to paint now that I know the black actually exists... grrrrr lol I wish I had known you were getting those sooner :( They looks really good @RS6tofj80!

Yup, it should get to you tomorrow. Sorry I did not post up the black one as I have not seen it before when the supplier mentioned to me, just told him to put few sets in the shipment so I can check it out when I receive it. And I did not have time to look at it until RS6tofj80 showed up at my doors on Friday. Also has 2 sets of the slight green tint version as well like those on the factory GX470 and LS430 headlamp, have not opened the box to check them out either. :( too busy packing and shipping parts out.

No worries, again, thanks for all your hard work. I didn't mean to sound like I'm bitching about it, and more than likely I'll enjoy them to the fullest extent until it's time to open them up for projectors. The green tint looks interesting too.

Just got mine today, finally! Can't wait to put them on my truck. Thanks Ian!

I know you said that the extra hole under the middle light is for the DRL, but isn't the DRL the highbeam on half power?

Bueller... Bueller...

Ton504, the parking light? Seems like a weird place to put it, I'm not sure if that has the same socket design on the original housings.

The DRL should be the one next to the factory corner lamp, the high beam is not on as DRL at all per other member confirmation.

Hang on here boys...

DRL (Daytime Running Lights) on the 100 Series uses the high beam circuit and bulb running at half power.

The Intermediate marker lights sit between the main (high / low) headlamp bulbs and the Cornering (turn signal) lamp.

The empty hole being referred to in the Depo should be for relocation of that intermediate marker.

Thanks for chimming in Rob ;) Looks like I got confused too, sorry guys.

Seems to be an odd place for that light, but okay... I assume that marker light has a twist base socket, as I've never replaced that light.

They're going in this weekend along with the new tails I ordered from amazon.

Ok, so I just installed my lights! Ian, thanks again for getting this done for us. They look great, and the light intensity looks good, but I will check them out tonight!

Tools needed:

Philips screwdriver
10 mm socket
Dremel with coarse grit bit to file away plastic

A couple of install issues, already discussed with Ian:

1. When you plug in the connectors, they do not lock, with the clip. Also, what this results in, is the two metal prongs inside the connector on the headlamps do not connect to the socket wired to the car. Simple fix - take a Dremel, and shave off 1/8 of an inch from the edge of the connector on the headlamp. Plug it back in, the clip locks, and all is good. If you want to be extra safe, put some electrical tape around the connector.

2. The stock headlamps have three mounting positions. There are two 1/4" bolts on either side at the bottom, and one on the top by the grill (inside). The new lights do not have the third bolt on the bottom outside, as they are a one piece, so no way of getting to the outside lower bolt anyway. What happens here, is that you can put your fingers in around the edge of the turn signal lens, and the light kinda pulls out, as the two inside bolts act as a pivot. My temporary fix, is to use the top outside mounting tab that lines up with the fender, which is unused on the stock headlamp. I put a 3" bolt through the hole, and now no chance of it pulling out from the indicator light outside edge. I will be looking for some sort of locking pin type fastener, to make this more permanent. Bolt is secure, as the hood closes off any access to it, or will not allow it to pop out. See the third picture.

3. The small parking light goes into the slot at the bottom. Both the Parking light and turn signal fit perfectly. DRL is the headlamp bulb running at a lower pull, and works fine as well. Its all good.........

With all this stuff, I had them both on in 50 minutes, so its really not too much of a hassle, just a few extra steps - took me 10 minutes to decide to file down the connectors! I love the way they look, and I am looking forward to seeing better at night!

@landylover21 which tails did you buy?

Any sets left? Also, any black sets left? Ready to buy.

How did I miss this thread?

Is there also one for taillights? I would really be all over that.
