It doesn't have any leaks so that oil is being used. No smoke at startup.

These motors do this. Mine uses a quart about every 1200-1500 miles. See my log above.

I've never seen a FSM but I'm told this consumption is within spec for this motor

Mine burns and leaks....acceptable for a 21yr old truck

Yours is a fair price...sadly i just comitted to a 65k addition on our home or id be haggling with you

Nice vehicle. Low miles is not 177,000 miles.

For an 80 it is, especially with the maintenance history. This truck is a great deal for the mileage, service history, condition and the fact that it is a southern truck.

I would much rather(and did last year) buy a well maintained southern truck with more miles than one of these sub 100k no maintenance northern rust buckets that people have been trying to sell for too high lately.

Funny.......

I know my price. I also know that on Mud....you can't list something for the price you must have because people feel like if they don't beat you down a few hundred bucks then they can't buy the product.....

No matter if it is $40 or $40,000.......

:D

If you are serious , let me know. I have a couple others saying similar things but I have not sold it yet.

From what I can see, a fair price!

If I had the cash readily available, we'd be talking as this rig appears to be exactly what I would want in an 80.

I've been in and around this truck a few times since 2004. It is as nice an 80 Series as you will find. The small premium will pay for itself in un-necessary maintenance.

Drive it 100K miles, then put in $1K in Shane"s leather and $1400 in a new head gasket and sell for $12K or drive for another 250K miles.

Points of clarification:

No one has looked at this truck in person and "passed" on it. Folks I have spoken with have found closer vehicles or we could not agree on price.

Rust: there is no cancerous rust on the body or frame.

There is surface rust on areas of the undercarriage that have had the paint rubbed or worn off with time.

My thoughts on this is that I would be suspicious of a vehicle that had 10 fresh cans if Krylon sprayed on it.

The bumpers and skids have been on this truck for 14+ years. I have not sprayed over the powder on the bumpers. Scratches are there.

On the undercarriage, I don't think that has been sprayed since installed.

I painted the fender bars and sliders last year.
