Hello... Just bought a Hilux Surf 3.0.
Just learning the in's and out's on this thing and hopefully I can get some info.
Front Axle Seal potential leak / sweating a little. Will the 4Runner front axle seal work? I would think it would but thought I'd ask...
Also, it looks like there's 4 bolts holding that seal. Is it good enough to undo those bolts to change it or do I have to dismantle the ball joints etc...to give enough space to pull it out?
Came across a thread somewhere on giving this truck more boost by putting a couple 2mm washers at the wastegate. I did something similar to my pajero but can't find the wastgate on this thing. Is it under the heat shield where the turbo is?
Small but annoying. Steering wheel squeaks a bit when cold...how do I take the steering wheel off or is it possible to oil it without going through that trouble? Note: Still looking for assembly instructions for that...so if anyone has it handy.
