'92 80-Series: Magnetic Shift Lock clicks with Turn Signals? (1 Viewer)

So recently I have noticed. While the truck is in park, If you turn on the 4-ways or the Turn signals; the magnetic gear shift lock clicks along with the with them. I've look at some of the wiring for the lock, but everything looks normal, unmolested and such.

Any ideas why the turn signals would trip the parking lock while in park?

Because the system thinks you're stepping on the brake which activates the shift lock solenoid when you're in park.
Do you have LED brake lamps?

I noticed that after changing the brake lamps to LED, either turn signal would cancel cruise control. This was the case on my 91 and again on my LX450. I believe that a diode added to the ground of the brake lamps should alleviate this.

I do have LED Brake bulbs for the brakes. And now that you say that, that is about when I noticed it. Guess I will add a Diode in line like you said and see if that corrects it.
