All these wheel threads got me thinking (scary, I know). My truck is almost ready to roll, I am keeping the stock sizes tires on it- 225/75/15 and was wondering if solid axle trucks ever had an aluminum wheel option? I have a set off an '86 parts rig, but the offset is too deep and I really don't want spacers or to make it any narrower than it is, going for the totally stock suspension set up, I have a 40 for wheeling. I may run some 15" aluminum mods a friend has for the retro look. Thanks!

These were aftermarket dealer installed and sold with the vehicle when new. I can't remember if they were westin or western rims. Not sure if 84's or 85's came from the factory with something aluminum.

I love those wheels, I had forgotten about them, I had a set on an old truck in the early eighties. Want to sell 'em?

Not really. In fact, I wanted one for a spare so that I didn't need different lug nuts and after about a year I found someone taking a set off and bought one from them. That's been a few years ago so I doubt the other three are still around.

Yeah, you should keep those, they look perfect. For now I have a set of these:
