Got the cab pulled back today for the fuel cell. Had to source a few fittings to reduce the fuel line. Is the metal line on the frame 3/8 or 5/16?

Installed tank minus the straps. Drove it around the block a couple times. Brakes up front a must. Probably need rotors as well. Then the rust removal and welding begin!

Ok so brakes are next but looking at frame. Can I loosen the body mount bolts and lift the cab up enough to replace the body mounts? The cross member may also need attention.
Yup, I've done it. Loosen everything, roll the windows down, throw a big strap through the cab and lift it up from the roof. Lift it straight up, if you let it rest too much on the front mounts you might buckle the inner fenders above the wheels or at the firewall.

OK so I hope to pick up a new grinder this weekend and start working on the truck. I actually listed it on CL to see if anyone was interested in it. Someone is coming by Friday to look at the spare cab. He needs a hood and other miscellaneous things. If I could get $300 out of him I would sell but I need to keep the doors and fenders. Otherwise I am going to unbolt the hood, start jacking up the cab and see what needs to be done. I am working in my driveway and the weather is just now getting good enough to work outside.

Yeah too many projects and not enough time. I will buy another one once out of school.
