Brand new to the forum. Bought a BJ42 last fall it has been sitting in storage over the winter.
I need a new suspension system for it, would like to go with OME, and run 33 12.5 15's on it.
I'm in Kelowna, BC. Just need a little advice about where my best bet is to get it from.
Lucky enough to have a great friend who is a diesel mechanic with his own shop who will help install it.
Any advice greatly appreciated

Cheers

T .

Welcome to the forum!!!

Im in western canada and also have a 42. Lots of vendors here that can hook you up with OME. Try Ebi they are close or cruiser outfitters. If your in a pich call Dan at 4wheelparts in Edm but he can be pricey

Most places that carry ARB products can get the lifts.

I ended up getting mine from Dan at 4wheelauto and don't really have any complaints. The shackles and bushings in that "kit" were terrain tamer but everything else was OME. I tried to check with a few other suppliers but no one had stock. I was looking for someone who had it available for pickup while I was in the area so I could save shipping.

Also recommend dan at 4wheel maby do some research first and figure out what you want out of it because ome has different options like medium and heavy duty spring packs and normal or anti inversion shackles

You could try North Shore Offroad/Sport Trucks unlimited.

thanks for all the info and suggestions
greatly appreciated
for anyone who has done a regular OME lift
2 or 2.5 shackles I guess
will I have to replace the break lines as well ?

cheers

You could try baja North in Kamloops a bit closer to you
Ebi will ship to you as well

That's good to know! FJs are a little harder to find overseas so most of what I see are BJs. I'm hoping I can find one that I can drive and do long term work on.

Hey I'm thinking of importing a BJ and was curious how the diesel is in day to day driving. Not highway necessarily but on normal roads. What's it like?

Had it on the road for 3 weeks last fall just after I bought it. Stored it for winter.
Can't give you a good idea on being a daily driver, found it just find around town for the limited time I drove it.
