80 Series with HD-FT engine (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I just purchased 2 x 1995 Land Cruisers from Japan's Auto Auction (1HD-FT manufactured post 1995 July - 1998 I believe). Looking for parts /sources for parts:

Things needed:
- Timing Belt Kits x 2
- Alternator
- Driver's seat
- More to come in the near future as I dig more...

Any/all help is appreciated

Would I burn anything if I replaced the existing alternator (amayama shows it has 27060-17181 100A) with a higher 110A unit? or an 80A unit?

No, its a very common upgrade. My HD81 had a 60 amp alternator stock, now has a 150 amp with no issues.

So turns out I had dash lights from a bad alternator. Got that rebuilt from a local shop for $100

Right after I installed the rebuilt alternator in this happened:
- Driver side + - terminals touched accidentally while other battery was still connected. There was a small spark.

New Problem:
- The fan in the car is not blowing, the climate control console has lights and responds to button pushes just fine. No airflow on turning up the fan speed.
- A/C is also not engaging, I can't hear the compressor click.

What I've checked:
- All fuses inside are ok. Outside fuses are also ok, none of them were blown.

Car cranks and runs fine, batteries are charging.

Any thoughts on what it could be?

Fuses were ok, it was actually a burnt wire behind the fuse box on the "CIG" fuse circuit. Everything works as it should now
