No problem Jordan. The most important thing was to make sure you were going to be happy with the purchase. FWIW I think you are making the right choice given your current needs. Good on you!

Well, the truck is available again Thanks to the last deadbeat buyer;)

PM me for a "club" price if you are looking to get into an 80 series. (No Nolen, you can't have it for the "club" price just to flip it for fast cash :). ) it's not perfect but I dont think you will be disappointed. Gonna wait a day or two then post it up in the for sale section. TIA

After much thought and discussion with my wife, I sadly must pass this deal on to the next in line.

Anna and I went to look at this last weekend. I assure you that there is not a nicer '93 on the market in stock clothing. The truck is a beautiful white color. Has one small dent below the passenger taillight, but it should be easy to fix by a decent body shop for a good price. The ARBs and supercharger had me drooling.

In the end, it's just not the right fit for us at the moment. For two smaller adults and a dog, it's a little too much truck. I really think I'll kick myself later for passing, but I can't see any way around it.

Daryl has not asked me to post or recommend this truck or anything of the like. This is of my own freewill. He gave me a couple weeks to think about it and mull it over, so this is the least I can do. Whoever ends up with this truck will get a great deal. Knowing that it has been owned and maintained with a fine-tooth comb by Daryl is worth quite a bit in my opinion.

Thanks, Daryl, for the chance and understanding. I wish we were at a different place in our lives, but sadly it doesn't fit right now :frown:

That sure was a lot of trouble to get a look at the Secret Lair.......

Gas is $4/gallon... who IS in that place?!
Touche, good sir :frown:

Hardest decision I've made in a while. Again, thanks for your understanding and all your help. Someone will get a killer deal on an 80. No doubt about that

It won't be there next time.....like a black hole. You have had your chance.

Anyone have a spare passenger side mirror for an 80-Series--in white? My 63yo mother had a little :whoops: with her '96 and the carport this last weekend. If you have such an item and you want to part with it, shoot me a PM!

Bossman: Is Half-@ss still running her mirrors? I mean, I'm already running one of her fender flares!

Thanks,

Justin

looks like i may have spun a bearing in my driver side hub. its making a horrible although intermittent noise. I removed the front drive shaft thinking that was the problem but the noise persisted. Rob drove it at the meeting last night and said it was the bearings and possible a spun race in the driver hub.

Does anyone have a spare 80 hub ? I have not torn it down yet but i want to have the parts on hand in order to tear it down just one time.

I like Marlins seals. i know they have the rebuild kit with bearings. but they are way out in CA. Is there anyone closer that sells the Marlin seals and 80 bearings? I can source the bearing locally but if I am waiting for seals...
plus I would prefer to use the vendors that support the Crawl.

I have the marlin seals and 80 rebuild kit if you need it.

Not me, I just got a honda civic. 35 avg mpg :bounce:

you mean like this civic?
thanks to the purchase of the Honda my 40 sits with a jack in the back.
There's no funds for airshocks on the rear suspension and again it went back on back burner.

Thanks for the parts, chris!

Changed out all the bearings and seals. New races went in like normal so i think the hub is fine. Had gear oil in the bearings and longfield, washed out the grease in them. Hopefully that was the problem. Test driving it this morning.

Anyone ever seen an 80 this color? 95-97 model. Saw it at the Cherokee. Doesn't come up on the paint code chart Price has.

Where's the sombraro emblem? looks to be missing. If it's under the key hole then it's a 97 only. possible repaint? Were the fender flare rubber strips painted over? or were they this color? They look too nice to be original.
