Can you use an OBDI longblock in an OBDII truck, if you use all of the OBDII bolt-ons?

Yes and no. In long block for they are the same other than the crank position sensor. The 93-94 1fz does not have the provision in the oil pan for the sensor itself or more importantly the reluctor wheel on the crank shaft. It can be done but requires bottom end parts swapping as well as the usual items, ie intake-93-94 get temp sensor location, 93-94 different exhaust manifolds due to Secondary Air Injection etc.

I’ll likely be stopping by Cam’s next weekend. Happy to help.

Do you want an F-1/2?

Think of how many carnage trophies you could make :grinpimp:

So many parts... So little time.

This 1993 UZJ80 at 49 Tire is hands down the nicest 80 I have ever seen. 91,000 miles. The interior literally looks unused. No scratches on the cup holders. Steering wheel. Edges of plastic. Unreal.

Truly is an unreal truck!

I am have a Tail light / brake light issue on my 80. 1997

No lights even though bulbs are good.
Fuses are good.

There is talk of a relay that could have gone bad. Any idea of the part number and location of this relay?
Does the passenger side kick panel sound familiar for the location?

Turns out it was my tail light converter. It was in some water in the rear quarter panel.
By passed it and tail lights /brake lights work now.

Ordered a Hopkins 43405 tail light converter wiring harness to replace the stick one.

The old guy that has had me keeping his POS 80 running over the last few years just sold it to a local salvage yard for $300. No telling how many free parts I put on that thing over the years and he never even gave me a shot at buying my parts back. I hate people...
