Man, i'd love to check these out. I really don't like the skinny hard to grab ones that are stock in my '94

I sent you a PM.

I'd love a set of these! Very awesome concept.

@bryce0225 / @la.cruiser on instagram
No logo OR Toyota
I have an early grey interior, so I feel black anodized, dark grey or clear silver would look great
Sand texture would be awesome
Id be interested in the front 4x for $150 maybe? You tell me.

It looks great. How does it feel in the hand? No sharp edges. Is it going to come with hardware? Matching hardware would be a nice attention to detail.

Username: Doughboy
Logo Preference: (40th, Blank, Toyota, TRD, etc.) Note: The most popular logos with volume would be selected. I would like a TEQ or blank logo
Preferred Anodized Color: (Specify RAL color that matches your interior best. For reference the samples are RAL1001 is Beige (Looks Bronze/Rose Gold in different lighting), and RAL8004 is Copper Brown (Looks Maroon with hints of Red). copper brown
Finish: Smooth or Sand. Sand finish
Reasonable Price: What do you think is a reasonable price to pay for a full set? I think 150-250 dollar range is ideal, but don't know if it's profitable. I was thinking 25 dollars per one
Other Vehicles: Are you interested in a set for a 40, 60, 100, 200, 4Runner, GX, etc? Personally not interested in any other vehicle.

Definitely interested in a set with a smooth finish in the beige color way.

Other options how about late 2ed gen tundras ?

Cost that’s depends on what makes the effort of making these worth your while .!!

I don't have other Toyota models to test fit on, but if you have a spare grab handle for the 2nd Gen Tundra for example (@mrsleeve) , shoot me a DM if you'd like to ship it to me, and I will make the necessary adjustments.

@doughboy I do not have the first set of CNC samples in hand yet but they are on route.

Low volume CNC machining is incredibly expensive. A batch of 10 pieces anodized (5 pairs of the a-pillar grab handles) cost $1150 shipped, I'm giving out 4 sets for free.

I think one of the issues is that this isn't a product anyone needs vs wants. Grab handles don't truly go bad and don't need replacing.

It's a nice product for sure, but more of a luxury. I love them and hope you at least one run of them so I can put a set in my 81.

I absolutely agree @doughboy , this is a want, definitely not a need. I prefer affordability for the masses, and if these aren't affordable, I would just make a samples for myself and call it a day. If a select few absolutely want these and its in limited amounts, I would just ask for the cost to produce and not a penny more.

Looks like a great project. I would be happy to review a set.

Logo Preference: Toyota
Preferred Anodized Color: RAL1001/Beige. Consider RED - my truck is lifted, and I continually have to tell people to use the grab handles so that they do not fall on disembarking. I am currently using high-viz luggage handle covers to make the stock grab handles easier to see.
Finish: Smooth
Reasonable Price: What do you think is a reasonable price - $150-200
Other Vehicles: Nope, just the 80
Many thanks, Ted in Chapel Hill. NC

Very cool! Add me to the list.

Thanks

Oh!!! Yes I do like those a lot!!! When I get home from this job and get caught up with all my put off projects (have been home 5 days since last April). I might have time to get a tundra grab handle shipped to you

Would love to do a fit check of these on a 60 series! Are the 60 and 80 handles interchangeable?
Another member advised that the upper handles will work on mini trucks and FJ60s. The a-pillars handles should work in late FJ60s as well as 62s.

These look great! Nice touch and useful!

Hi there... toss my name into the hat for the side grab handles lotto. If you do happen to pull my name out of that hat, I'd prefer the RAL8004 (Copper Brown). As mentioned by @doughboy definitely a want vice need... but they seem to be a really nice upgrade. Besides, aren't most of the modifications we make to our vehicles want v need? ;)

And... if you happen to run a production set..
  1. Username: SFCDiablo
  2. Logo Preference: (40th, TRD, or TEQ)
  3. Preferred Anodized Color: (RAL8004 unless RAL1001 can be a lot more 'sand/oak' and a lot less gold)
  4. Finish: Smooth
  5. Reasonable Price: ??? $25-$30 per handle?? I dunno. Quality costs $$ and those look pretty quality.
  6. Other Vehicles: Although I also own a 60, I'd only have eyes for the 80.
Thanks for doing this. Things like this are what make this community stand out above others.

Had hoped the RAL8004 would be a tad bit more brown to compliment the brown leather on the 40th anniversary seats, they do look fantastic though.
Slightly disappointed in the RAL1001, I did expect it to be a lot more SAND/OAK/BEIGE but this is how it goes when sampling.

You are able to use the bolts removed from the OEM Grab Handle to install, but I will be testing out different bolts soon.

BROWN:
RAL 8004: Copper Brown | RAL 8003: Clay Brown | RAL 8016: Mahogany Brown

BLACK:
RAL 9011: Graphite Black | RAL: 9005: Jet Black

GREY:
RAL 7024: Graphite Grey | RAL 7016: Anthracite Grey | RAL 7036: Platinum Grey

BEIGE:
RAL 1001: Beige | RAL 1002: Yellow Sand | RAL 1015: Light Ivory
