so it doesn't sit flush on my 80. The Old one is flush and I'm assuming on the later 80s they had that little recessed but for the grab handles.

Hey Dougboy, that’s very unfortunately they don’t sit flush on the older 80s. Would some grinding of the bottom mounting point allow it to get flush?

I have a band saw, and I'll take it to those things to get it flush.

I think one of the issues is that this isn't a product anyone needs vs wants. Grab handles don't truly go bad and don't need replacing.

It's a nice product for sure, but more of a luxury. I love them and hope you at least one run of them so I can put a set in my 81.
I don't think anyone NEEDS a steel center console or shifter console, yet @Delta VS seems sell those pretty readily.

I like it! If you make a suitable replacement for the NLA dash grab bar (74670-60040-B0), you'd already have my money! I would prefer color matched ( or as close as possible).

Yeah, I second this, and I have a few other ideas.

A lot of guys are purists and want everything in stock (stockish) colors, and I'm not knocking that, but there is also a whole other market for folks that are more "users" rather than restorers, and I think all you have to do is look at the 4Runner market to see how well that can work. (I would also point to the Jeep world, but we don't discuss those things here). I fall in the latter category, and very few cool things are out there in the 80s.

I get it; it's a small market; that's an argument I made on another thread recently. But there are folks around willing to make purchases of nice stuff for their 80s, and it looks like you're making some nice stuff.

The wide choice of colors (if cost-effective for you) could satisfy both markets.

I'd like a full set of grab handles in black, including the dash, if you find you can make something.

I received mine... I didn't take pictures. Maybe I will?? . I love these things... Sure.. not necessary, but I smile every time I climb into the cab and they actually feel better.

Looking forward to replacing the remaining 8 handles in my LX450!!!

Were you able to get it flush on your RHD/JDM 80 @doughboy ?

I sanded the little pop out and they fit flush now.

I'll do a full set of the Cooper brown, if you can do a TEQ logo, I'd like that, if not, that's okay too.
