That thing is sweet! Can these be made-to-order?

Thank you. Yes it can. I am working on getting a rolling 80 (no running gear etc) to build bumpers on. If all works out I will be picking it up 1/19/13.

Ready to come off the truck for back welding, clean up, and paint

Looks very nice! Ever think of putting a thin skin in between the tubes for a more solid apperance. I know this wouldnt do anything structual just eye candy. Glad to see this in the works before I have made any decisions for a rear bumper.

Was thinking a similar thing, except a solid bottom and keep the tube top. It would match my Metal Tech sliders and most front bumpers that have plate bottoms/tube tops.

Digging the "all tube" look. Nice work!

I'm not a big fan of tube-type bumpers, but you nailed it with that one ! I, too, am waiting for the price.

Very nice. You could do a dimple die skin on the sides like the addicted off toad bumper for 4rnrs. Curious for the price as well.

This is the first bumper built in my shop for the 80 series. This bumper was built for a customer to his specifications. My shop is a custom shop so I am more than willing to build what you want as long as it is safe. So if fill ins is what you want I can accomodate you. Let me know if you want a bumper built.

It came together nicely Stan, that weight is reasonable, still using the .188" wall tubing? If so, quite stout and still reasonable weight...

Jerry

THis bumper was built with 1.5" & 1.25" X .120" wall DOM. Second cross member is 1.5" X 2.5" X .188 wall Rec tube. All mounting plates are 1/4" and recovery points are 3/4" tied directly to the fram.

It can be built with .188" wall DOM as well, would most likely add about 12-15 lbs to the bumper.

Nice! I will definitely keep this in thought.
