I'm not ready to wheel my rig, but I'm ready to go ride some dirt roads or something Larry. We can do a belated-birthday ride at some point.

Congrats on the lift.

Thanks bud and that sounds great. We'll find some place for a stroll and a birthday brew ;)

2000 miles round trip and as soon as I get back into Lafayette the engine light comes back. Its at Midas right now making sure I didn't break any welds crossing through the rock creeks in TN. Story to be continued....

Also ordered OME850J Front Coils, 2 N73L Front Shocks for the front to try and level it out and should give me hopefully a level 4 inches of lift if I stop gaining weight. (I will have some 850's and 2 inch Metaltech spacers avaliable for a good price) Also called up IPOR and ordered the 4.88 gears with all the dressings. I'm going to have to skip the first Sicily trip :frown: but will get all the goodies on so I'm ready for the next. May have to find a quick place to tool around that weekend because it'll bug the mess out of me knowing you all are out there and I'm missing out. Something gotta give. :meh:

Larry,

I am interested in those spacers. I assume it will help alleviate the "stink bug" look that I am sporting. Let me know what you are asking for them.

Putting the Sierra 4.88's from Iron Pig last week we had a little chatter on the first go round so we took it down again to try and get the coast a little better but it looks like we may have a bad set in the front we can't get much better than what we have. I'll have to order another set and tear it down again. Thanks a million to Davin for his help all afternoon and tonight it was a long day but nice weather for some wrenching. New 850J's and shocks are in but needed to retain the 2inch metal tech spacers to get it level. I do like where its at now. Plenty room for the 35's when ready and when the 4.88's are right it should keep me where I need to be with the gearing.

Put some thicker gear oil to soften the sound. That sucks about the gears, that car lift sure makes things easier.

I've been glancing around for a slightly used set of 315's but didn't really find anything and during my usual ebay scan for cruiser parts I decided to look for used tires there as well and stumbled on these blemised STT's. To compare I priced locally $1063.52 from Delta and $1400.00 from Chabill's so I called these guys and for $725 to the door I decided to try them out. The guy I spoke with Troy said he shipped a set of the same to Baton Rouge earlier this week.

Brown truck dropped them off at noon and here they are.

Nice tires Larry !!

Thanks, I'll be ready to get'em dirty here real soon :D Had to look through the sun roof putting it in the garage tonight didn't know if it was going to fit. I still have a few inches of room left. I'm gonna go find a loading dock tomorrow and tuck the rear to see if they rub on the inner fenderwells. One side looks like it may.

Corey I'll be on a field trip tomorrow with Holden's class so I won't be in the office tomorrow but I'm open for lunch Friday if anyone wants to get some lunch

Dude, you are an animal!

I knew they were comin..

Can you please explain the art of justifying all this to your :princess: ??

I need it. I have parts going and coming regularly she don't pay attention or care much except when I look to bring home additional rigs. I run that by her or look to stash them somewhere else :meh:

 yea don't do it the way I did. Its a combination of bolts, plastic snaps and screws. I had one part on the back doors that had a bracket riveted to the door that I had to grind the rivets off. The fenders are stamped with those holes and then painted before the flares go on so when you take them off if you can find some plastic caps to pop in the holes it wouldn't look bad after you washed and waxed away the years of film collected in there. :) I'll look for a pic to show you.
