After seeing those numbers I bet I'm over 6k with the rear winch bumper and full size spare w/ 37's. I need to stop modding before I weigh as much as the Super Duty!
 you got the heavy hitter :D , whats surprising is even with all the weight it still handles well both off and on the trail for a tank :)

It's a Land Cruiser. Of course.

So I got the evaporator out of the 80 and I could smell the leak in it that I was smelling. As you can see its pretty filthy as one might expect after 17 years of service. I did one round of cleaning on it and will do another tomorrow. My question is does anyone test them in Lafayette? Would like to know if its good to go another round or if it needs replacing.

look for it being oily
oil in the lower part on case?

there is no testing except while in service

when in doubt replace both evap & valve

This is a great deal if you've had any problems with your drivers switch panel for the power windows. I think a few years of mud and water has mine acting up lately. I tried blowing it out and spraying some WD40 to work in the contacts but it acts up when it feels like it. I pulled the trigger and ordered one :)

Good quality looking part for the coin.

Dropped the modified front bumper for the 80 off to these folks at Powder Coat Junction to get blasted and powder coated they were recommended by Brian Carpenter his booth wasn't big enough or he would have done it. I added their info and the info for a CNC and Fab shop they do work for as well to the local contacts thread.

That's gonna look sweet on the 80 Larry.

Thanks Mike , I hope for better approach angles with this one and I added frame ties and some plating on the wings hoping it holds up better than the ARB to bouncing off trees :D

Did you damage the ARB??

Yea it was bent on the drivers wing bouncing off trees at Coles Creek and Sicily Island not real bad I got most of it out but needed some wing support to survive LA wheeling and I wanted something with a better approach angle when in the rocks. I was ready to pull the trigger on a Metaltech stinger version when a guy in Tennessee was looking to swap what looked like a Metaltech bumper but was a homemade production and we did a swap for the ARB. After a few mods to it I'll be ready to get it back from the powdercoating shop to drop in the rebuilt M12000 and add some synthetic rope to it :D

X2 I think that type of bumper will look great on the 80 also. It will be a different look than the ARB . The ARB bumper I had on my mini truck I always seemed to get the bottom outside corners hung on tress while trying to back up.. that is after I hit them going forward.
I've dug my front tube bumpers in a few ravens while making turns instead of backing up and doing a three point turns and they seem to hold up very good.

Thanks Albert I'm looking forward to getting it all back together :)

Sweet! I can't wait to see it mounted!

Thanks Justin. I picked the bumper up today and it looks great nice work. I told him I'd report back on how it holds up :) I like the bumper job so much I'm bringing him the step bars off the tow rig next week to blast the chrome off and powercoat them. The chrome is chipping off on the ends from dirt and gravel.

Nice!!!!

Tip, a fence post cap is the same diameter as an 80 crank seal made it easy to drive in. Most of my leak was coming from the distributer o-ring that rubber o-ring was hard and no longer sealing. Was gonna change the front pump gasket but they used Phillips screws and they want to strip trying to get them out, bone head idea to use screw heads instead of 10mm bolts and no room for an impact screwdriver without pulling out the radiator so it'll stay I cleaned it up and don't appear to be the leaking looks like most of it was trickling down from the distributer.

Good oil pump thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/72514-how-replace-oil-pump-seal-w-pics.html
