Nothing is ever as easy as you think it's going to be. One smack with a hammer turns into 3 days grinding shaping and welding

Got the steering and pedal assembly apart and ready for the powdercoater. I'm going to need a new steering wheel, pedal pads, brake light switch, blinker relay, turn signal switch and steering wheel bearing.

A lot of these things have become pretty brittle so I figured replacing them while I have everything apart.

It's too bad there aren't any repop steering wheels.. I sure like OE. What is the best looking aftermarket steering wheel that works with the turn signal?

Got all the powdercoated parts back today, they look super good!! Below are a few of the pieces installed along with an @cityracer intake hose that I've had for a while... I also installed the intake cover service sticker from SOR that I've had for a while as well. Got the bib and wiper motor blasted and primed. Going to paint them both white I believe.

I haven't had much progress on putting the powdercoated parts back together and installing them yet. I need to get a few new plugs for the wiring harness first.

BUT, I did acquire a few new parts for my next project. This will be after putting the pedal bucket and steering column back in. Got this mini truck box, bracket, pump and high pressure hose from the classifieds. Thanks A!! I will be sending the box to West Texas Off Road for a rebuild and run the pump till it dies. I still need the pedestal, hose and cooler. I'm super pumped for the power steering project!

What brake lines did you use for the front.

I used all braided stainless lines from Georg @orangefj45 . Frame to axle front/rear and outer front axle. When I did the disk conversion, I used the backing plate eliminator from Georg as well which removed the union for the outer soft lines so he provided the braided line that installed from the axle hard line directly to the caliper. I do not have part numbers. I got extended lines from frame to axle because of the taller springs and longer shackles.

My current issue, I bought the man a fre kit and to use it I would have to remove the hard line from the caliber but then the brake lines are tight so they are to short. So I bought the low range off road female to female lines(seems to be only company sales then) which means I have to use the hard line, but I get this as the result.... way to long

I just bought all new u joints and few other things from him last week, didn't even think to ask him about it. Sure he'll see your linking him. So I'll wait, I'm at near 200 in brake lines ATM haha and unhappy.

Got the PS Box sent off to West TX Offroad in San Angelo for a rebuild this afternoon. Thank you for the recommendation @orangefj45 ! I’m excited to get it back and get all the powdercoated parts mounted again. I hope to have it driving by Christmas time...

Looking great!!!!

Glad you're happy with the parts we've been able to provide for your build.

We can supply ANY stainless brake hose. And length, any fitting configuration. Even custom hoses usually ship within 24 hours.
