Rosco!!! (Or anyone really)

Picked me up a BRAND NEW long range tank off a 79 series today for 200 dollars even. (I can get 15 more of them if anyone wants one around that price, PM me. I'm Located in Australia but quite happy to box them and send via seafreight bout 35kg all told incl the lines and stuff.)

The tank is the one to suit the ute/cab chassis, not sure if it's the same on the troopy but I know it suits all utes incl the new v8 ones as the rear end of the car is exactly the same incl the bolthole locations!

Anyway, what i'm looking for is the wiring diagram for the fuel sender, mine has 2 wires out of the tank... one greenish, one cream/black which connects into a THREE pin plug then the other side of that plug has 3 wires coming out which connects to ANOTHER plug which is where all the wiring i've got ends. What's which and where's it go? Need to hook it up to an aftermarket fuel gauge.

Would really appreciate help here :) Cheers guys

Gidday

Would that fit my 1995/6 75 Series Troopy? I will check the plate tomorrow morning.

Im interested. Getting it to Malaysia im happy to pay for it to be shipped as I have a shipment coming over from Melbourne soon.

i'll take a photo of mine and post it.

You guys need to PM me with some details (like where i'd be posting it to) so I can get shipping quotes for you all.

THEY WILL ONLY FIT 75/79 CAB CHASSIS. NOT MID OR SHORT WHEEL BASE. I -will- double check about troop carriers, but I can't do it until SUNDAY. So expect another post from me around then.

Which tank does this replace. The standard one or the reserve tank?

Mine only has one tank being from Japan. I get over 800K from the standard 90L tank now if I drive it quietly.

This will be fun getting this through customs. We can only legally put $150rm (around 95liters) (@$1.58 litre) of fuel in a tank at any one fuel station.

Im not sure how you wire them up but I do know the aux tank on a 75/78/79 series is identical to the 70/73/74 series main tank;)

I think it will suit either a troopy or cab chassis but not the SWB and MWB unless you want to replace your existing tank.

Rosco

I have on the troopy here the main tank under the left front passenger seat.

I presume this is the same as the 80 and these LR tanks you have replace what would be the auxillary tank correct?

How many litres 176? or less?

I cannot check my exact model as the plate is missing! My OZ mate here who also has a 75 inOZ also went eeek. From his manuaol in OZ we will try and get plate made soon. (It passed the roadworthy test a month ago without it) not sure how.

Looks like I have to make one up from details I have from the rego sticker eeeeek!.

Money can be sent by internet from OZ A/c to OZ A/c.

regards

This is the LONG RANGE TANK. IE: The AUX tank. Not your main tank. And it's another 90 litres capacity.

Rosco, do you know if the troopy/ute have the same aux tank (same mounts)?

I believe so ,maybe TLCcruiserman who has both can confirm it (football handpass):D

The tanks Entaran has are the auxillary tanks which fit the rear (behind axle)of a troopy or cab chassis and/or a 73/74 series.
I dont think they are the same as an 80 series tank.

They are 90 litres.

Geeze I am interested as well, in fact I will take one please, what all does it come with? Fuel send guage thingy?

You could probably use fuel pick up and sender from a MWB. Then copy Toyotas fuel lines and solenoid lay out

To all of you who have PMed and Emailed me (And there's more than I expected!) I am off this weekend to Adelaide (in Australia) until Tuesday and will investigate shipping options to the various places I need to as soon as I return. I will post in this thread as soon as I'm aware of what I can and can't send where :)

Please be patient! I haven't forgotten you!
