Drum brake wheels will have rivets that will interfere w/ disc calipers.

What I have herad of people doing is shipping drum brake steelies off to get widened to a 8" rim.

This seems like a good idea as people typically give away the drum steelies, and when they get widened they will be welded vs. rivets...

Hope that helps!

You can use 77 rims on a 74, but to use 74 on a 77 you will have to do spacers or some clearancing. or, as fj said, weld the 74 inners to a chevy rim outer.

Well, I have the rims and tires, They are 6 of 77 rims, Oh and there was a slight communication issue on the tires...They are only 235/75/15 = 29.1" whah whah... :censor:
But the rims and caps look good, The caps could use a little love.

I did mine and this is what they look like when i started and when i blasted and after i powder coated them. I love the look!

Other than the tire size is fairly useless...
not useless. you gotta pull the tires to get the wheels beadblasted and powdercoated, so put em on craigslist and get some money towards new tires. those tires look like they've got great tread left. also, if you're not in a hurry and want to save some dough, keep your eyes peeled for used tires in the size you want. i picked up all the tires on my soa pig for around $40/ea (35x12.5 ssr swampers), they were all spares for someone at some time so had good tread.

Thanks Ige!
I actually sold the tires this morning! only took about 24 hours, To a member of WC
I think Im going to go with some 31's and there is no real rush, Im really not going to go to in depth on this rig for some time.
I will most likely find some tires and put them on, Down the road I will PC them along with a build up.
