I have also figured out what seats I'm going to run. Corbeau Baja Low-Backs. I will run two in the front with headrests and one in the rear without a headrest:

And yes, the front seats will be heated for :princess:... I needed to figure this out so that I can buy the rear seat and get it installed. As much as I wanted to run a bench seat in the rear, I'm going to run one bucket so that the dog as room.

You can see the metal cage for the bottom part of the cell in the pic above. The new cell should mostly fit under the floor and a new floor will be fabbed.

I noticed the cage, I'm just concerned that a stick/pointy rock could make its way past the rear axle and poke the fuel cell if the plastic is exposed.

And are those Teraflex revolver shackles in the rear? I haven't seen those in a long time. :flipoff2:

It has expanded steel and 3/16" of hard rubber between the cell and a stick/pointy rock... It could happen but I doubt it will.

And yes, those are TeraFlex Revolver shackles... On both the front and back...

I didn't see the expanded steel, good stuff there!

Gotta love the tech for those shackles. I'm curious how the free droop will feel, it always seemed unstable to me.

To be honest, it looks like Hillbilly Booty-Fab but it's proven to work! LOL. As I go through it, things will be made a little less ghetto...

This weekend I finished messing with the driveshafts ("Is that a PTO shaft for your front driveshaft?!?" and "Why are there only 2 bolts holding your rear driveshaft to the axle?") and order some parts from Summit, Amazon and MetalTech.

Last Saturday my wife and I were able to help out with a SOLV Clean-up at our local OHV area. I decided to drag the 40 up there to see how she would do. Thanks to the good friends that were willing to come with me and test my rig. I really had no idea what to expect! There were a couple of things I was really surprised about. First of all, the suspension is really stable! I was expecting a lot of sloppiness with the Revolver shackles but it really wasn’t bad. That may be different when the conditions are a bit drier and I can really text the flex. The other big thing I noticed is that carb runs like crap… I’m hoping that I can tune the issues out of it but we will see. Enough yacking, onto the pics!

My landlord came over this weekend to help celebrate my daughter and my birthdays. He hadn't seen the 40 yet and decided to play around with it a bit. Once it was nice and warm, I got to do some adjustments on the carb. It seems to run a lot better but only time will tell. I also picked up a Baja SS seat off of Craigslist. Hopefully that will be installed in the back this month.
