A small section of pipe insulation under the hood on each side near the cowling should do the trick.

My 200 absolutely has hood flutter. The GX 460 does not have a hod flutter issue--only the new GX 550 and LX 600/700 series.
Installed the pipe insulation (3 inch OD) between the rise of the black plastic box on each side of the engine near the rear of the hood and it worked perfectly to stop 90% of the hood shake. Have to reset each time the hood is opened or affix in place.A small section of pipe insulation under the hood on each side near the cowling should do the trick.
I'm pretty sure this totally can be done with a software update. Heck, just add it so that we can say "Hey Lexus, turn on driver/passenger massage"Rant alert: Don't get me started on 6 buttons you need to press (I've counted) on the touch screen to turn on the massaging seat.... And then if you want it off, you can press the 6 buttons again to get into that screen, or wait 15 minutes because Lexus thinks that's all the massage you should need and it turns off.
I noticed that on mine as well. Surprised to see that.If u want one other issue, look at bottom of the the rocker panel where it meets the front door and fender. Totally misaligned. See this on most other lx s too. I'll post a Pic up and clarify
That hey lexus thing is an annoyance. What does it actually do? There is a few things i want to shut off and that is one.I'm pretty sure this totally can be done with a software update. Heck, just add it so that we can say "Hey Lexus, turn on driver/passenger massage"
Piggy back rant: MID doesnt show tire pressure (or at least I haven't found a way to do so). Even the 2nd screen has enough room to show tire pressure. And "Hey Lexus" can't show tire pressure either.
This can be turned off in the infotainment system. That hey lexus thing is an annoyance. What does it actually do? There is a few things i want to shut off and that is one.
I was complaining about mine not shifting into 1st unless you are about at a complete stop, “this car is a piece of s***” and it turned on and said “this vehicle currently has no recalls”. Was the funniest thing, me my business partner turned and looked at each other and started laughing. So defensive lexus![]()
True.tundra hood does it too, aluminum
but ill say any old 4x4 ive ever had has had the panel bonding let go after XX amount of years leading to a tinny sound when your shut your hood,
solution re-panel bond it, caulker-up, i do it to all my trucks, sounds way better when shutting the hood and would take care of hood flutter too im sure
Come on guys, complaints about hood flutter, misaligned panels...you are all looking for 200 series build and construction. That ship has sale and that era is gone by now.If u want one other issue, look at bottom of the the rocker panel where it meets the front door and fender. Totally misaligned. Hot take, build quality on the 200 after 2015 went down.Come on guys, complaints about hood flutter, misaligned panels...you are all looking for 200 series build and construction. That ship has sale and that era is gone by now.

Hood flutter aside I feel like the fit and finish in regards to panels and things being screwed together tight is par for the Toyota/Lexus course on the LX, GX, and even the 250. Tundra and Tacoma have had some quibbles with panel gaps, door card rattles, loose glove boxes, and those sorta things but they are also domestic/mexico assembled vehicles, not Japan. I'm a little sour on my 200 at the moment due to some electrical gremlins that need to be chased down. Even the mighty 200 can have issues it seems.Come on guys, complaints about hood flutter, misaligned panels...you are all looking for 200 series build and construction. didnt realize mk4's was aluminum, interestingThe problem isn't the hood being aluminium, the problem is too thin aluminium.
The MK4 Supra's hood is fully aluminium but it's solid as hell and does not flutter at all. But the MK4 is golden age 90's Toyota.
