Ok so through trial and error , i found arms to replace the week spring ones on my 70 fj55 . they are the snap on ones not the bolt on ones on later years . my old ones did not have enough tension to hold the wiper against the glass . the new ones are a Anco 41-03 . they have alot more spring tension . and should push the snow better this winter

had the springs/arms off my 74 but the springs were just as week as the 70 ones , they are so short hard to find a mondo size spring to replace it with .

Nice work man, thanks!

My wipers are pretty pooey! I have been looking for a replacment for awhile. I have a '75 where the shaft that the wiper attaches to is splined or at least used to be splined. Now the nut either loosens or the spline is so noexistent that it wont work. The shaft moves back and forth but the wipper stays immoble.:(
Would you think that the ones that you found a replacement for this? I am confused on the whole snap on verses bolt on. Mine are held on by a bolt.

the bolt on ones are like 74 and later , the early ones just push on . i have a set of 74 ones if you need , i have spent so long to find the older ones , that i have not started to look for the amco number for the newer ones yet but they do exist .
