70 Series Front Turn Signals on a 40

Found some info searching but not definitive. Has anyone installed these 70 series front turn signal lamps from SOR on the side aprons of a 40? Is the space big enough without modifying/moving the hood latches? Pics are appreciated. My lamps are smashed along with the fenders, at this point I would prefer to move the wiring inside the engine bay. Let me know please and thanks.

This is a common practice in Central and South America. If not worried about not having the stock look really not a bad mod. Wiring is not exposed. Weight is off the fender.

When I installed 70 series turn signals I had to move the hood latches. Moved them to a spot on the hood behind the turn signals. I retained the stock latch but used a jeep catch on the apron.

I dig the look of the 70 series marker lights on my 43. You will have to relocate the hood latches.
