Thank you !
I am looking at swapping a cluster from an Aus spec 1995 HZJ75 which has the OEM Rev counter etc into my 1999 HZJ75 with 1HD-t.
Will it therefore just be a 'plug n play ' swap ?

Does your 1HD T injection pump have the tach sensor fitted and is there something to plug it into?

Yeah the sensor is there Ross and I am hoping that the obsolete part of the loom might be behind the dash (typically tied up by MR Yoda) or if not it, that it could be bought or DIY ?

Im sure it could be bought. But the installation is not something I would be too happy about doing. I would settle for anything that told me the RPMs.

Is there anything in the engine bay that it could be plugged into?

I honestly cannot remember but I am now thinking that you might be onto something and that there was a "blanked off" piece of loom.
I will go have a look asap ...

There is indeed. The OEM plug that connects to the plug from the RPM sensor from the back of the IP, is present and runs into the loom itself.I have not stripped the dash but knowing how Mr Yoda usually does looms, it stands to reason that it could only go to one location, ie behind the instrument cluster ?

Good news
