Are the four engine instruments ( oil press., fuel quantity, water temp, and voltage) on a HJ75 a single cluster or are they four separate gauges?
Thanks, .....1978HJ45

it really depends on what model and what market it is coming from.
I have seen 70s come with just the speedo and the simple ones.

1986 HJ75 Ute from Australia. The primary fuel quantity indicator is broken ( red needle is physically missing).

this is probably the style of dash cluster your wondering about.

Base models seemed to get this style of cluster vs the tach styled one.

Even though this photo is not from the actual vehicle this is the cluster I am referring to.

The fuel and oil will be paired up, when you pull the cluster apart you just remove the bolts on the back and the fuel/oil gauge pair will come right out. The BJ70 cluster has individual gauges vice the pairing.

Thanks Wongtsenhin......................1978HJ45

Hello wongtsenhin,

Is your cluster from an early model Prado?

Just curious.

Juan

Looks exactly the same as my 94' KZJ78 - so I'd say yes it is.

Hello,

Thank you for the explanation. So you mounted it into your 75. How difficult is it?

Juan

Would that be to miss the bolts for the fold down window part Wong

Hi guys, maybe you can help me a bit. I have an instrument cluster that appears to be from KZJ78 as wongtsenhin but it is 24v. Can you please help me maybe guide me what their wiring on the back is for? For example which number is for the fuel gauge, oil gauge etc please? I would appreciate as much help as possible as I am new with Toyota :)

Slight mod to edge of the dash, then direct bolt in.;)

So did your 75 initially have the cluster without the rev counter and then you swapped this cluster in after your 1HD-t swap ?
