Searched around a bit for pics, diagrams, etc. Didnt find what I was after

I have a 350 conversion done by 2 POs ago with the stock tank.

Was giving the pig some air. Running really well and this guy pulls up to me saying I have gas dumping out the right side. I have obviosly vented the wrong tube. Previously, the tube was capped and I guess it was a return of some sort? Best I can figure... when I would let off the pedal, gas would come rushing out of this tube (walked my street from when I came home and the gas trail was consistent with my assumption)

Which of the tubes are for venting? The passenger side of the tank has two tubes: one delivers the gas to the motor and the other appears it was for a return line of some sort (this is the one I had vented)? The driver side has 3 "nipples": the center one is capped and the two on either side of the center one are connected/lopped together. Is the center one on the passenger side supposed to be the vent? Getting a roll-over valve from summit when I track down the right f'n tube :D

Thanks!!!

On the '76 (may be different on a '69) the passenger side connections go to and from the motor. The rear most one is supply and the one to the front is return. On the drivers side there are 5 hoses (4 small, one large) going to the vent thingy in the cargo area wall and of course the big fill hose.

I forgot to mention... on the passenger side there are 5 total hoses: 2 large (thinking not the vents) and 3 other tubes (in the configuration mentioned above)

Thanks cruiser guy. You driver side sounds just like mine. Now I just need to know which of the small tubes to vent on the drivers side.

My bet is that they ARE all vents but they'll need the thingy in the cargo wall or wherever the '69 had them (one of the folks on the board was talking about some under floor tank thingy on the '69's).

do it!

not helpful BUT, funny :)

:)

I've heard of other people venting thier tanks this way so, I dont think its dangerouse. Am I wrong? Just want to be safe.
