95% Happy with my frame work. Complete!!!!!!!! Just some wire wheeling and tremclad. I was avoiding the tranny cross member frame fix, glad to have it DONE! I have some good size burns. No pain, no gain. A small patch on the passenger side and Fuel and brake lines tapped and secured... Mostly. lol

MAybe clean therest of the frame and paint tomorrow. Its been a stellar 25c for the last few days here on the island.

Or maybe just take it for a spin around the block and feel the new cross member not smashing on the bottom of the body. HA!

Well I reduced some tremclad with 10% Paint thinner and put it into my touch up air sprayer. First coat. Next time I will use a light to help me see what I'm doing. lol The camera flash picked up on some missed spots.

She looks ready for another 30 on those Canadian salt flats!

Its not so bad here on the west coast. They only spray the roads a couple dozen times a year.

Great work saving a rig most of us would have discarded. A roadworthy cruiser that wasn't before is never a bad thing!

Now that driveshaft is screaming for some black paint. Haha! Looking good.

I'm not most people. Thanks for the compliment ;)

I wire wheeled my chromies, put a new water pump in, swapped oil pans cause she needed it and did and oil change. Best of all I painted the front end. Finally!!!

Just when I thought everything was good to go for a test drive. I realized the front passenger wheel bearing needs some tightening. Thats easy as pie. 30 mins.

Maybe I should rebuild the front knuckles while im at it. They look pretty grimy.

I managed to save to old exhaust. I had to buy one 2" elbow from the shop to complete it. She purrs once again. No photos, too lazy. I took her for a test drive. Its really amazing how this old truck feels. Kinda like a tank actually.

Ok so my paint job ain't exactly perfect, one more coat should do it ;)

@cruisedeisel Your paint job is awesome. Do you wear a face mask while you wire wheel all the crud off? Probably a absurd question. I honestly hadn't thought of doing that... I have been (apparently) torturing myself and using nylon and wire brushes and a ton of degreaser.

No face mask. But safety glasses and ear protection. Get the expensive wire wheels. They last longer and the wires don't fly off and stab you.

This guy would have thrown this truck to the crusher. Shame on you. Just because your grandmas old doesn't mean she don't need some good loving once in a while ;)

Dude you quoted my post twice
