Dan dont you ever sleep ????? It was great having you stop by today, From all of us thanks for draging our stuff down.

I received the front disc conversion parts yesterday (Thanks Georg, Dan, Rob), I ordered the last of my disc brake parts today, and will pick them up tomorrow. Then the fun begins!!!! Since I had some time on my hands, I polished up the early hubcaps, took off the later style hubcaps, slapped on the earlies and went for a drive. I thought it looked pretty nice with the later style caps, but I am really liking the the look of the vintage caps.

Those old T-moons look great! I need to bang out a few dents on mine, and try to polish them before I go the rechrome route (now that I see yours), but first I need to clean off about an inch of grime off of them...maybe I'll let them soak in something first.

Did you ever find a few more old caps?

You should take off those crappy non-factory hooks on the side of your bed...
and send them to me! :grinpimp:

Dom,

I already removed them, they went into the trash. I figured no one would want them :D

Dean,

I received (5) hubcaps. 2 were cut out for the front hubs and 3 non-cut.

I dont know why you go to all the trouble I went down to Napa and got some Chrome in a can, you know the spray on kind and my 45 baby moons turned out fine !

All the parts have been sourced, just waiting for a break to work on it. I picked up my wheels from the powder coater. I went with a matte black, as I do not like the really shiny look. Found a new front fender, the axle housing is cleaned, prepped and painted, hubs cleaned and painted. I still have to clean and paint the knuckles, put on the new rotors, figure out brake lines and a vacuum source for the booster.

Got some new shoes mounted on the refurbished wheels. I could not find the 33 9.50's that were on the truck, so I opted for 33 10.50's instead.
