62 cup holders on 60 console

Got the same question over and over this weekend so I thought I would address it here. I was asked if our updated prices, promos, and coupons are only for the Black Friday weekend. The simple answer is No. We will be running all of our holiday promos, coupons, and updated reduced pricing through 12/20 of this year. So the discounts are good for another 2.5 weeks.

Over the last few years I have gotten a lot of requests to make something for the 62 Series that could hold the larger 36oz insulated bottles made by Yeti, Hydroflask, and others as well as the plastic sports bottles like the Nalgene. I finally had a chance to sit down and mess with the current 62 Series double cup holder design to see if I can modify it in a way that would meet those requests but still be able to hold the usual fast food cups, soda cans, grocery store water bottles AND the common insulated tumblers. I also needed to be sure it could hold a phone. Here is what I came up with. Please understand this is a prototype so we have a few little bumps and flaws in it that will be addressed in final production. What I need are a couple volunteers wiling to install these and give me feedback and pics. I don't have a 62 Series in the shop I can use anymore. I know fitment wont be an issue because I used our existing design as the platform. I mostly need pics of it installed and any thoughts on how to make it even better. If anyone is interested in helping me on this then shoot me a message and I can go over the details of what I need and the overall process.

Here is our original 62 Series cup holder installed so you have a visual reference as to how/where our design mounts next to the console. We will probably just offer both designs for folks who prefer to old style more, once we get the new one manufactured up up on our seller platforms.

No takers on anyone willing to take pics of the new design installed in their rig? You get to keep the cup holder when we are done.

I think i purchase one of your cup holders for my FJ62 a while back. I can help you best i can. I agree those Yeti Type bottles are popular, but i'm not sure what size bottles i have. I can try the fit with the bottles i have.

A quick heads up; you have that cup holder installed backwards. The open notch for the phone goes towards the dash. Flip it around 180 degrees. That will allow the insert to drop all the way into the hole correctly. In reagards to the new design; do you have any Hydroflask, Nalgene or 36/40oz. Yeti bottles?

Yeti brand, i only have three (20 ounce size) The others are no name brand, unknown number of ounces (but i would not place this size bottle in a cup holder). No Hydroflask or Nalgene bottles. Sorry i wasn't much help.......

Our old design can handle those 16-20oz tumblers already. The new design will be able to hold those insulated tumblers as well but also hold those bottles from your 3rd pic with the pink bottle in the middle. Those are what I'm looking for in regards to test fitting and pics. I will send you a message and we can get it all figured out and get a new version out in the mail to you.

Ok, i'll take them out of the Donation Box and hold them for testing..........

Got a couple guys who are going to take pics and send feedback on the updated design. Now I need to move on to the next item. I had some folks ask for a triple cup holder. In the auto tranny setup there was not enough room to go 3 across because the shifter bezel was in the way and going to the other side meant it was hanging off and looked horrible. On the manual tranny setup the shifters are up closer to the dash and there is plenty of room for a triple. I have made a few of these in the last couple years so I need one of 2 things. For the few guys that have one of these, could you post pics of it installed? I want to start offering these to everyone but need some good pics. I'm not even sure if those guys are on this website. If none of those guys are here then option 2 would be; anyone willing to buy one of these at an extremely reduced price and then send me pics of it installed? If so, shoot me a message and we can go over the details. Just be aware that this ONLY fits in the manual tranny setup.

Anyone willing to install a triple cup holder in their manual tranny 62 Series? Just need to get a few decent pics. In the end it will cost you nothing. A free cup holder for your time. If interested, shoot me a message.

I have a late 60, same console as the 62. I'll give it a go.

Been working on the update to the 62 Series cup holder. I had the triple cup holder design that I showed on here a few weeks back. I sent it out to a few folks for pics and test fitting. 2 folks told me the triple was a perfect fit with no issues but one guy told me (and showed me) that when going into reverse he would hit the far left cup IF it was a larger bottle like a Nalgene and larger Yeti bottle. See attached 2nd pic. That is a no-go on my end. I had already made a small batch of these before I found out about that issue. I know... stupid on my part. I have since redesigned the triple cup holder to have the larger hole on the right side, away from the shifter. This allowed a standard cup hole on the left side which also allowed me to move it back about an 1" so now all 3 holes work great and have no interreference issues. My problem is that I already made a batch of the triple cup holders with the large hole on the left (driver side). If anyone is interested in the original triple cup holder design at a greatly reduced price then shoot me a message. PLEASE BE AWARE that this specific design is ONLY for the manual tranny setup. A triple cup design for the automatic is in development. The driver side larger hole still holds normal sized cups, cans, water bottles, and insulated tumblers with no issues. It's just the largest taller insulated and sports bottles that hit the top of the bottle when going into reverse which is not ideal. The shorter 26oz bottles do clear on the driver side but the 36oz and 40oz bottles hit in reverse. I will post pics of the latest updated design soon. We are in production of the final version now and should have it ready for sale within the next few days.

I'm already getting emails about the original triple cup design. I guess I didn't do a good job on explaining things. The pic I posted of the triple cup design is NOT the version we will be producing. We made 10 of those and will NOT make any more. 3 have shipped out and I have 7 total left. We WILL release a triple cup design for the auto and manual set up that will address the shifter interference issue in Reverse. I am shooting to get that version released sometime next week. The 7 early triple cup designs we have will be $40 total including shipping. That is less than our current double cup design. The final design coming out next week will be closer to $60. I will post some CAD pics of those designs in a bit so you guys can see what the final versions will look like. Hopefully all that info cleared it up and I didn't just make it worse.

3 more of the early triple cup design that we will NOT be making more of were sold yesterday which means I have 4 left at $40 each. If anyone is interested in that version at a greatly reduced price then send me a message. First come, first serve on this. This is the version we are clearing out to make room for the updated/improved version coming out next week.

Thought I would get this thread updated with the final double cup design update and the new triple cup designs for the auto and manual tranny. The new double cup holder design works with both the auto and manual tranny set up. The triple cup design needed two totally different designs to clear the shifter bezels and movement of the shifters of the auto and manual. I sent out a bunch of the new designs for testing and feedback and have heard back from most with very positive feedback. I sent out a couple of the triple cup designs for the auto tranny but never heard back from them. Still looking for someone to test the triple cup design for the automatic. If anyone is interested in testing it for me then send me a message. I can go over the details on the process. In the end it will cost little to nothing for the part and only a little bit of your time in sending your feedback and pics.
