Can't thank these guys enough. They worked their asses off and provided great insight. I'm gonna see if it settles and, if not, I think we might in fact switch springs.

It's just weird that we have same part numbers except he has the a/b set up and I have a/a and we both got a lean. Oh well, it still looks so much better and rides a ton better.

Gonna be the first customer at Tolleson's to get my new tires in the a.m. :)

Awesome! What tires are you going with?

Did you put both springs side by side to see if one had more arch (they shouldn't if they were both A's)?

Did JT or Nolen teach you the secret handshake yet? Between this and the knuckle job, you've pretty much reached OG-Cruiser status. If you can do those, you can pretty much tackle anything else you want to do.

Has anyone added freon recently? Thinking maybe it is overcharged and building too much pressure?? Maybe take it in and have the freon recovered and start back from zero so that you know the system has the proper oil and freon charge?

All done. WCT was putting in the work this morning and he squeezed me in and took good care of me. Cam, these are BFG km2s, 33 * 10.5

Nolen, turns out my old (your new trailer) tires make a nice counter weight to offset the rake

Was the noise in the interior blower or under the hood?

Yes. We charged it when we tried the a/c board hack.

I think the noise is the compressor. The belts, albeit 6 years old have 2000 miles on them.

Sounds like maybe a bearing in the compressor? Or could be the belt slipping.

Right now the blower won't come on and A/C light is off so I think whatever is squeeking stressed something and killed the fuse.

But I literally don't know s***.

could be but when we uninstalled the hack job it was evaced and recharged.

guess I will see it again next week. 30 year old ac systems....

We went through mine a few years back, replacing the compressor & dryer. We also pulled the evaporator to flush it and replace the expansion valve and hidden seals. We converted it to R134 at the same time. It wasn't too bad of a job, with the exception of the under-dash stuff.

With the new gas, properly charged, it will cycle the thermister/compressor clutch. That means it is getting every bit as cold as the R12. You can't get any colder without the coil freezing up.

$300-ish in parts + some oil & refrigerant will get you a nearly new AC system with fresh seals. Maybe find another AC amp to put in so it cycles properly. Throw in a CLC wrenchin' day and the labor is free. Autozone will loan you a vac pump and gauges.

Here's the other parts you might need (dryer, expansion valve, seals)... http://nebula.wsimg.com/f8f04af4115...D11DBE96C4AC9FA7E&disposition=0&alloworigin=1

Being able to market it with a brand new AC system will easily pay for itself when you sell it :grinpimp:

Ahh, prolly not that then. Betting the compressor s*** the bed then.

Man! My future 60 was definitely looking good tonight!

Nice work Patrick!

Drove 60 home today. A-C problem was not the compressor. It tripped the blower breaker. Last time it was the fuse.

We put new OEM belts in it and now I just drive. See if the breaker trips or fuse blows. AC is nice and cold.

The OME stabilizer is money. No more bump steer.

Sometime in July I'm going to pull a leaf out if the high side rear pack.

Loving the 60.....
