5. Back in Feb. I purchased it from the original owner who rolled off the lot in San Antonio with 52 miles back in '88. After letting both kids drive it through high school he turned it into his hunting rig. Add a leaf ~ 1" lift. Bumpers and roof rack custom fabbed for South Texas hunting. Seats and walls of the blind mount on the roof rack and the middle of the brush guard folds down to carry the kill back to camp. So far all I've done is replace the shoes with BFG KM2s 31x10.50x15s, plan to go bigger when I convert to an OME lift. Also added '99 manual BMW 323 seats with the help of the Torfab brackets; if you haven't felt the difference find someone to let you do a test drive/ride. Aside from that jus
6. I use it as a DD but only on the weekends, so far it's been a beach bomber, lake limo, river runner, fly fishing rig, weekend warrior, Texas Top 50 BBQ Cruiser, and hopefully this fall will be carrying free range organic venison back to camp.

Other seats to consider are Saab 9-5 ventilated seats. They are power and leather and perforated with fans inside that pull air away from you so that you don't sweat when its hot. I have them in my Saab 9-5 and they are really nice on hot days. They are also heated so they feel great in the winter.

6. Daily Driver, Camping, Road Trips

Made an account here years ago while deployed with a friend really into the older FJ's - ended up buying an FJ60 but then sold it to a friend when I left for yet another deployment. Fast forward about 4 years, and I just found this one on Craigslist a couple weeks ago and picked it up last week. 124,xxx on the odometer, completely stock and I have all the original documents to include window sticker, operator manual, tool kit, stock wheels, receipts from original purchase and all documentation of services from the 2 original owners. I'm the 3rd owner. It runs great! Has rear quarter panel damage on both sides, lower rocker area damage on driver side door, needs paint, and the interior could use some TLC. Going to do most all of the upgrades myself to include fabricating my own body armor, ripping out the carpet and coating it in bed liner, an eventual OME 2.5" lift, etc. Leaving for another deployment soon after an 18 month hiatus so during my time away I'll be setting aside a small slush fund for the priorities and coming home to get to work in spring/summer.

5. No modifications, yet. Just catching up on maintenance
6. Daily, kid hauling, when ready overland camping and travel

Have wanted one since they were new. Rescued this one from a friend who had given up on it. Planning a 5 speed swap, refresh the 3fe, desmog, interior refresh, rust repair, and a light overland build. Out of the many vehicles I've owned, I've fallen in love with this the fastest.
