1st off thanks to everybody that participated, good times & driving
Nice, sunny, warm day 9 trucks initially; (4) lifted 80’s, stock 100, mini truck, fj40, (2) TJ’s one of them stock.
Ran some forest service access trails to the start of the black diamond part of John Bull on the east end. Made our way through the 1st rock piles, up the hill, around the tighter off camber turns in good fashion and stopped for lunch on the top of trail which has some nice high desert views.
On the way down things get a bit more interesting at the 1st tree squeeze; marchthroughathens got a little too cozy with the tree and taped a bit right about the drivers side back slider windows. Being the good sport he was he just repositioned and cleared on the next attempt. A couple of us clanked bumpers, skids, and what not on the way down but everybody was having a good time and driving pretty well. Near the end silvercruiser sliced his sidewall and we stopped to 5 plug it or so before changing to the spare at the end. I found a stump to pose on and we played around a bit before some of us broke off for the day.
Seeing how it was later in the day most everybody wanted to relax but nick and I headed over to Holcomb Creek. We made really good time until the 1st rock garden where we meet up with a nice couple in a red XJ. Still a little wet in places we slipped our way through a couple of sections before nick in his TJ attempt a double locker line which he almost made but ended up slipping off and took a strap. Once unstuck he took the high line and we completed the rest of trail which is a great one with the water crossings, moguls, two rock gardens, etc; we both agreed that it was a “Perfect Trail”.
Being in the front I didn’t get any pics of the rest of the pack or day 2 since I got called in but lets get another BB run going before the summer dries things out even more, for May it seemed super dry & dusty to me.

BTW I ran those same tires before the bighorns with zero problems for 40k.
