i'd be keen to hear what you think of the STTs. I still have the stock Dunlop Grandtreks and on road performance is good, but offroad i am not happy with them. Especially on gravel and in light mud - i have to slow right down (less than 60km/h, usually around 45km/h) as i've come so close to losing it many times.

And the Grandtreks have worn quickly too (i think?) - i've done 24,500 kms and most of that is not domestic use asi live so close to work i can walk there. It's mainly highway and mountain offroad use and they're almost ready to be replaced. Is this normal?
cheers

I'm currently a big fan of the NTG's too, but after really looking at the STT's, they are difficult to compare.

Meaning, $ vs. $ isn't an equal comparison.

Ya, I guess it is comaring an AT to an MT tire. Good luck with the Coopers uzj.

I have the Cooper ST/C in 267/75R16 on my Discovery. Prior to those I had the original ST in the same size. There was some MINOR chunking in 45k miles of hard wheeling. That was why I switched to the ST/C. Other than that, they are phenominal tires. The ST/C don't even scuff, and drive as well as the ST. Great traction in everything but deep mud. A real "AT" tire comparable to the MTR with longer tread life and better in snow. Wish they had a broader range of sizes instead of just the commercial/contractor pick-up truck sizes. FWIW

The STTs are here and being installed. They are nasty looking, basically a cross between a AT and a MT. I will pick the truck up this afternoon.

Hope your camera is ready. :)

Yeah, the camera would be at the house. Thought they were being installed tomorrow and they came in early.

What's next on the mod list?

Definitley up. I believe I need more air. I am currently at 40 psi.

What are you running your swampers at?

Next Mods - Sunroof, then sliders.

Sunroof? You don't have one and you plan on installing one? Good Lord man, why?

Looks great! BTW I'm running my swampers at about 43psi right now.
