Looks like a major backward step to me and to a limited, rough, gutless engine. Would be much better of with a Falcon 4.0L, turbo if you want or a 1FZE and a440 would be easiest/best, nearly all stock parts and heaps of potential.

Say what you really mean Hulsty hahaha, it's hard to imagine why you would put it like that, but I only have to make me happy. The L67/M90 combinatoion is well proven, tough and reliable and capable of much more horsepower and torque quite easily.

It's going to fit in easily and I won't need a bonnet scoop, very stealthy indeed

nothing wrong with the conversion imo. Im a diesel fan, but for the price of this conversion, torque and power output and the reliability i cant see whats wrong with it. It seems the engine needs to be a dohc hi-tech motor to even get a look in or positive comment. People have been bagging out the old V6 for years, they may not be as refined as a 1uz or LS2, but the bottom line is they easily get the job done without much fuss. Its sequentially fuel injected, resonably economical, and a torquey little donk in a compact package.....and did i mention CHEAP.....also very easy to wire up.....

hehe yeah, I was one of those diesel guys at one point, it's gonna be funny when I have a Troopy that I can smoke up at the lights yet cruise around stealthily when I please.

Holy crap, I can't fathom how you'd ditch so easily all that fabulous custom work you did. Did it not work as planned or something like that? What happened to your intercooler plenum thingamebob?

It worked out really well Damo, but I think the guy who sold it to me lied about how old the bottom end was as it very quickly started to have a blowby problem with the big turbo. I sold the whole engine etc complete to a guy knowing full well what he was buying so we're both happy. I just didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on the same thing again.

Now I'll have 300hp+ and waaay more torque using less fuel and yes, a man needs a project :)

I see, that would explain it, and I know exactly what you mean about not spending big to have the same thing again - says the man currently rebuilding his 1HZ for the third time
