Could somebody snap a picture of the lower passenger bench seat frame from behind the seat? What I need to see is the feet configuration for the back two feet. Both of mine are broken off at the back of the bottom seat cushion and the seat frame is resting on the gas tank.

While the front mounts are in place, there is just enough room slop in the mounts that I can't tell if the tubes come back an then then flatten out and point backwards (the flat portion with the bolt hole) or if the tubes come back and the flat mount kicks to the side like an FJ40 lower seat frame.

There is a picture of a seat from in this thread but I can't quite see the feet. I wanted to tackle this tomorrow and won't be able to make it up to the LCHM to spy trucks there. :D

This is what I need to see on the bottom passenger seat frame:

Treeroot to the rescue

He just shared these:

So it looks like one of each, the inner mounts sideways and the outer near the filler mounts inline with the tube. Thanks!

In a way I would consider you lucky to have this problem. Normally, seat install involves a little pulling, pushing, prying, or SOMETHING to get all four bolts in. This poor alignment could have contributed to your tabs fatiguing and separating themselves from the seat frame in the first place.

With two tabs broken off, you have the opportunity to weld on two new ones, REGARDLESS OF ORIENTATION, that will be totally stress free. Sounds like a win to me.

Good to know. That makes sense about the tweaked mounts. Both rear legs broke right where the upper seat back slams against the tubes. I've fixed that for good I hope.
