I've repeated this story several times over the years. Now here's the proof.

FJ45Dude came into the shop back in '91 or so, shortly after purchasing his 45lwb and asked me for a headache rack. I shook my head and told him the odds were slim to none. I called the dealer and started what I thought would be another fruitless parts search.

Dealer came back and said an offline search showed one left in the main depot in Japan. Standard 6-8 week delivery schedule. I called Mike and told him and of course he said to go for it.

Ten days later.............THIS SHOWED UP!

I never expected that I would see this piece of cruiser porn again. Lo and behold when Mike had the 45 towed in last week to have me start the build, there was the rack, sitting there in the bed, still in the same chicken coop crate it had left Japan in 15 years ago! AWWESOME!
