Frame and VIN FJ40-144292, F 426160, stamped Feb 1973, Pollux Orange

I have FJ40~144059. Pollux orange and 2/73. Had a 74 F engine but original engine was in the back at when I purchased. It's a FST, I bought twenty-eight years ago and have never driven it. Had a 72 hard top and doors on it. Original doors and bows came with it. Going for a record for longest owned with never driving it.

You think he’s lost interest but then he recites some obscure Landcruiser fact about one that he has had forever. He seems to be a walking dictionary of FJ40 lore so I’m not sure he will ever lose interest

Appears to have been in Montana since at least '97. Great Falls area. Unknown history before then.

Mostly original other than paint and cut rear fenders. I’ve owned it for around 8 years. PO was out of northern Mississippi who said he’d purchased it from someone in the same area, unknown history before that.
