John has an aisin carb. I am wondering if I should install that for awhile and then get the AFI kit or skip the aisin and go directly to the AFI.

Nolen. Didn't see your post until after I put this in.

I fought bad carbs for a while. I'm running a Aisin now and it does fine. As long as you have somebody that knows how to adjust a carb and you have a good carb I'd think you'd be good to go.
But then what do I know...

The webber runs strong just needs 30 seconds to turn over. I think a float adjustment would do it. The aisin and stock air box are with truck (rebuilt by mark A) all it needs is a choke cable. I'd do that for now run it and then decide on 3fe or FI

WOW....that truck just became a 12k truck quickly.

Don't they all...

i can't WAIT to see the transformation and see it at superlift!! i might be almost as excited as Mike

esp since it will be HIS $12k truck!!!

Nothing wrong with a Weber and most local mechanics can tune one. Not very many can do an Aisin.

Your priorities are correct. Safety upgrades.

Then:

Rear locker
Winch
Orion
P//S if it does not have it (Saginaw)
Long fields/front ARB

In order of necessity in my opinion.

it has saginaw and it has a HFS front bumper so so an arb bumper wouldn't be on my list.....unless Mardis likes that look more
