1976 For Sale

I am putting my 40 on the market unfortunately. It has set for too long in my garage. It is currently disassembled and in the middle of a restoration but due to some recent changes it is best to liquidate it and free up some cash. The body is 90% rust free. The tub has been stripped down to bare metal and sprayed with 2 coats of self etching primer. The passenger side has 2 coats of high build primer. There was a cb antenna mounted on the drivers side quarter panel and I was in the process of doing the body work to fill the hole. The only rust is on the passenger side floor pan due to a tshirt that was put under the gas tank by one of the PO's. I have all parts needed to complete except fenders, windshield, exhaust, paint, etc. Also included is new window regulators, door latches, hei dizzy(used), Weber 38(used), header(used), stainless hindge pins, new black powder coated hood latches, mini truck power steering kit(used), anti-inversion shackles x4, greasable spring pins x4 and whatever other parts that are laying around that are 40 related. I do have the hard top but the fiberglass has been cracked and repaired, the rain channel is rusted but the metal sides and glass are in great shape. Its getting hard to find a rust free 40 now days so I'm asking $3800obo as it sits. Pic available on request just send me a pm with your email address. Truck is sold with bill of sale. Title was lost 2 owners ago.

73 & 78 Toyota Landcruisers

Sad to see them rotting away. I wonder if there is anything useable. You could make another trailer Lash.

Nolen and I went to see those last Sept. I was looking for a cheap repairable rub for the trailer, but there was too much rot/mods/missing stuff to make it worth my while. There seemed to be some nice parts if someone wanted to part it out, but I could not pay any more than $500 - $600. I have no time to part out anything right now. If someone ends up with a decent tub, please let me know.

call me if you need help.....Im just learning bout hundy stuff on here this afternoon

You looking for a tub Lash? What are you looking to do?

While building the trailer, I realized that the '73 tub is really too far gone to spend any time on it. It will do for a while, but long term will need to be replaced. I don't mind replacing a rear sill, patching the floor, etc if the rest of the tub is OK. I can make any tub up to '78 work. Prefer uncut fenders since I'm running 33x10.50s. And you know I'm a cheapo!

Rob and I have a deal on his cruiser, but I'm having trouble figuring out how I'm going to get the truck registered in LA so i can use it as an occasional driver...once I get it put back together!

Bonded title will not transfer from MISS to LA...any other ideas?

Anybody have any prior experience with this?

^^ awesome....start a build thread so we can watch you put the puzzle back together!!

cop buddy says, we think, that you need to get it tagged and then it will transfer. does rob have it tagged at all?

bottom line....call your dmv

search pulled this https://forum.ih8mud.com/chit-chat-section/52221-wtf-bonded-title-anyone-know-next-steps.html

No, Rob doesn't have it tagged.

My DMV says MS bonded titles are not accepted here. Have spent all morning on the phone with them. Bottom line is that he has to clear the title or get it registered in his name before I can buy it. Otherwise i'll never be able to tag it in LA.
