Don't know if those pics help. Yours looks like the springs are ore on backwards from those pics but yours may be right. I don't see anything the coil part of the spspring could be rubbing on to cause that.

I am in need of jack rod hold down clips and the jack and tool roll hold down brackets for my 77 40. Does anyone have any lying around?

Digging through old pictures and found this jewel.

When I first put my 3.0 Altas in my FJ40 (Serial number 1 of the 3.0 gears) behind my SM465 I had a housing made that used 2 long side Toyota rear axles to center the diff.

It lasted 2 rides and I snapped both axles at once.

Well it looks like I let my Aussie locker spring pin issue cause some axle carnage. I should have addressed it before the Crawl. Looks like my axle splines are toast. My spares aren't much better. Anyone have a decent pair of rear 40 axles?

Thanks

Thanks Cam! I'll let you know.

short or long side? I may have the long side I'd be willing to part with.

I need both.

I love CottonLand!

Has anyone wired in lights for a trailer on an FJ40 that doesn't look like a complete hack job? I know you have to use a 3 wire to 2 wire converter (or make one) but I want it to be clean waterproof but most seem to be hacked in.

Fireman,

I have an extra set of male and female taillight connectors. The plan is to build a tow harness that plugs in between the 40 harness and tail lights. My trailer lights are LEDs so maybe this will work?? All theory at this point.

Lash, you'll need in-line resistors for the LED bulbs. I have some of you need them.
