There's an AFI TBI kit in there. Perfect for one of the 60's (since y'all actually drive them on a regular basis)...

He wants $750 for that kit. I'm tempted, but I don't think my carb is the only reason it runs rough and loud. He said he got the kit with the motor that is for sale. Here is what he said about them:
" I sent it to AFI for a complete update and paid an additional $400 to get the new harness with heated O2 sensor, rebuild distributor rebuilt injection, new programming and dino testing; if you'd like to buy the 2F I will sell it separately for $4,000 and an additional $750 for the AFI, both are newly built, the motor is crated and the AFI is in an unopened box they shipped it back in "

The fact that the kit could be missing parts from being partially used and upgraded also makes me nervous.

I think that is totally worth it for the kit. That's about what I paid for my used AFI. It looks and sounds like all the major parts are there.

The only loose parts are water temp sensor, MAP sensor, and O2 sensor. Other than the O2 sensor and injectors, all of the other parts in that system are $5-20 at parts stores.

If I had a 2F, I'd get it.

The kit is complete. It was an older kit so it sent off to AFI to have all of the latest and greatest added. It's one hell of a deal. Comes with new harness and injectors. Believe it also includes the 2F dizzy.

The 2F engine has been completely rebuilt using only Toyota parts. Noel purchased it from the Toyota tech that built it and has all recipes from the dealer. After Noel bought it it was sent to Geoff at Jackson Cylinder Head to inspect and verify all parts are there and is in spec. Motor is ready to run.

The tub itself is a work of art. Was completely stripped. Rear quarters, rear sill and floor pans are new. After metal work was done it was sent to Nissan and E-coated. For those unfamiliar with this process it is essentially like powder coating but is done under water so that the whole thing is coated even in between panels. Every inch is coated. For the high end auto collector e-coating is a must during restoration if you want it to bring concorse type money. It may not make sense to the average 40 owner but it made sense in Noel's head and what he was going for was a brand new 40 with Icon quality that was built to his specs. If he is asking $17k for the whole lot of parts it may seem high but all parts are top notch. I know how much he has tied up in the tub alone, $17k is a steal.

The engine costs as much as my whole 40....so probably not.

Rob how hard is it do install the TBI? Would I notice a difference?

Why did he lose interest? It seems like he has passed the point of no return and needs to just bite the bullet and turn it into a $30k 40 to sell at Barrett Jackson.

Remove carb, remove dizzy, install tbi, sensors and mount computer. Install dizzy. Start truck
