Yes, I have an FSM. Not much in there about it but how to test the sending units.
If I confirm what both items are I'll post it up.
Is a 2f motor manual different or more detailed than an Fj40 FSM?

Is the fluid level staying full?
How old is the clutch slave and clutch master cyl? If you don't know the age of these then I would just replace them. Both are not too expensive and then you would know you were good. I never replace only one of the components in that system because if you replace one then the other one will go out soon after. That's just been my experience. Good luck!
Anybody have experience with CCOT side view mirrors? I need a pair, and I am wondering if I should get the "flat" glass or the "both flat-wide" glass...whatever that means.![]()
Get new ones from CCOT that use the windshield bolts for when you have the doors off.

Thanks.
On another note: Does anybody have a windwhield wiper arm for a 68' 40? Jason at Cruiser Yard told me he had some when I emailed him about 4 months ago; told me $22 shipped for the arm. Emailed him yesterday, and now he wants over $200 for the whole assembly.![]()
Haven't run my 40 in a week or so. I always let it idle for 5 minutes or so before driving it and noticed some fluid under exhaust pipe and black soot on the wall. Any concern?
Nope. Water forms in a cold exhaust (condensation), and when you start it up from cold, it's just blowing that out of the pipe. As for the black, the condensation is just picking up some of the carbon in the exhaust system and carrying it out with the condensate.Haven't run my 40 in a week or so.
