Take it and have the timing checked.

The timing was checked before I replaced gasket and header and was good. Would changing manifold gasket and header throw that off?


It only does this the first few minutes of the day.

First real try at cranking her up tonight.

We have good power everywhere, but weak spark at points. No spark at plugs.

Have tried new ignition coil, no luck.

Any advice?

I had one that was all bent like that too... cleaned it up and made this..

I think that looks like a good deal

Thank you Sir! Original Freeborn Red. Crawl is out for me this year. The truck isn't legal yet. No lights, no seat belts, in fact there's nothing in the interior. Not even seats. Hope to fix all that by next week, if I can remember where I stashed all the parts.

Sill was replaced first. We originally thought the quarters could be repaired but then we discovered major rot hiding under a thin layer of bondo. Ended up welding in patch panels from Real Steel.

I have a 4+ bumper with tire and jerry can swingouts stashed in Texas, waiting to be installed. Will need it for the great Alaskan expedition next year. May put the bumperettes on for the drive back, as a temporary measure.

I went to the Jones County tax assesors office intending to buy a Navy tag. A nice lady in the tag office suggested an antique truck tag. $26 and I never buy another tag, and no inspections. No brainer.
