Rear Quarters and Rear Sill showed up in a big pretty box today. Going to drop those off at the Body Shop and they will start cutting out the old and welding in the new quarters on Monday!!!:bounce2:

Currently trying to find switches and knobs as someone cut out the dash. I am going to have a custom dash cover made for the knobs and pulls.

This is what I'm currently looking for :
1) Headlight Switch and Knob
2) Wiper Switch and knob
3) Fan Switch and knob
4) Hazard Switch and knob
5) Warm pull swtich and knob
6) Fresh Air switch pull and knob

I've got you covered when you come down for the hardtop sides...

Hey I'm going to Colorado Saturday morning...I could pick them up them if you want to meet me somewhere close to I35/I80 OR if you don't mind waiting till first part of Feb...your call...let me know!!! I'll call ya tonight!

Eric lives a stone throw from 235, easy to just stop in I'm sure. Plus you'll want to see his collection.

Nice job so far. Just a Q, why aren't you doing this thing yourself. Looks like you have plenty of space and there's nothing a few farmboys can't figure out together. One knows welding, another bends... Can't wait to watch it go down.

@Zang469 : I might go down Sunday and pick up those parts.
@Scottsire : I'm a freak about getting it done 'correctly' so just having the bodyshop man do it. I'll learn welding sometime...lol. We are pretty much doing everything except the paint work and welding. Mid Feb picking up from B/S and putting back together and getting her wired up and running. Will keep ya posted. Thanks for the look.

Progress is going well at the Bodyshop. Gary says that he has all the White parts painted and is starting on the rest of the body and parts next week. :bounce:

Here are some pics he sent me today!!!

The Fiberglass Hardtop was in very rough shape and I am very pleased with the outcome.

Getting a bit antsy just sitting around and waiting to pick the 73 up at the body shop so I cleaned out the barn yesterday and moved some 40's around.

Ok back to the 73 FJ40 build. Gary sent me some pics of the pieces that are primed and getting painted today. The fenders were pretty chewed up and he has smoothed them out and everything is coming together beautifully.

I am picking up the hardtop, hardtop sides, rear swing out doors, rear flip up door, front doors, hood, bib, and headlight surround on Saturday. The truck and tub will be picked up in two more weeks.

Here are some pics of the primed pieces and hopefully later today I will have some pics of the painted pieces.

Monday, I will drop these parts off at the glass company so I can have all the glass put back in and this will be ready for assembly.

I should have some similar pics of red painted body parts soon....hopefully

Thanks guys!!!

The Steelies were dropped off at the Sandblaster/Powder Coater last night. Will get those back next week. Going with the Factory Gray color. Should look great when I get those back. Then the 40 will get some new BFG Mud's wrapped around them:)

Peeled the Factory wheels off the 4runner last night and its sitting outside my shop on Jack stands. They are pitted pretty bad so getting them media blasted and painted silver.

Are you keeping the SOA and the SR? Most of us dream about having that on our rigs.

When I say "most" I mean the guys I hang with. I realize there is a debate about SOA and SR and some would never do it. (Want to keep your thread pc)
