3rd annual Southern Cruiser Crawl Thread

I have always run them but I don't have 6" of lift. I run some sliders that a guy in our club built and they are welded to the frame. Get someone local to build some out of 2x4 square tubing. I am hoping to bring a few sets of sliders like mine to the ride that will be for sale. The LA guys are in for at least 2 sets so we will see how many are left. If someone has a welder at the park then you can get them there and weld them on at the Crawl.

That sounds great, how much would your set cost? Also, can they be run with the stock running boards in place? Actually it's a 4inch spring lift with 3 inch over stock shackles, so really only 5.5 inch. Let me know if you think i need them or if i should post a pic of the rig cause sliders aint cheap. Thanks

My new to me '85 now runs with a swapped in lower mileage motor, front axle gets a rebuild next week and I'm ready to go. I'll be there after lunch on Thursday in this:

this would be great, for me, if you guys brought a welder, cause i'm planning on buying the sliders for my 40 at the crawl and in order for me to do some hardcore trails, i'll need some armor.;p

There is a welder at the park. I talked to Tony and he said we could use it. It's stick welder I think and it's in the back of that old Kaiser Jeep on the road that leads to the park. Also serves as the generator for the lights.
