Just a thought. The pig was spitting and running like crap last night but great this am. I was driving it in the yard when it was cold and might have flooded something. Running great again this am in the shop. That might be the problem...It has yet to leave the frickin shop!

It seems a shame to leave it but then again it's kind of gay bringing two rigs to a trip. The thing doesn't fit on my trailer either way so..

If you feel like dragging it to and from, I'd be up for bringing it and trying to see if it will make it out of the parking lot. I can always go get it with the rv if it gets stuck or breaks down!

As for the string comment, I need a translation. What does it mean to be on a short string... Remember, I am dumb. Someone tell me what it means so I can at least have a come back to John!

Weather is looking better. I think it will be a dry weekend. The Cliffs hasnt seen rain in 2 weeks!

However, If it looks like we might get rain, I have a back up plan. I can get a 20' x 30' tent from a rental house in Ottawa.

I will be at the park at about 9 or 10am on friday. My cell is 708 466 0394, if you need anything.

Welcome to MUD:flipoff2:

There are a few guys coming up from southern Illinois or at least from that general direction... You would have fun even if you just came up for one day for the mild, moderate or difficult trails. I would suggest Sat or early Sunday, Friday is more of a free for all. There will be other FJ as well and everyone is friendly so you should have a great time.

new to forum saw the jamboree was looking to get more info, in southern illinois and was thinking of bringing up the FJ for some more fun....somewhat of a newbie but had an amazing time at the fj summit in colorado...whats the 411? times etc...thanks

we outta be there before noon, easily...can't wait!

rig is ready, even tested the on-board welder and rigged up a throttle-lock for it...had to reorganize gear since I've got so much MORE interior room with the rear seat and different fuel cell!

only thing NOT done are the Walbro pickups...may get motivated on that this afternoon, but we'll see :)

well, apparently I AM doing the pickups, since the 1/2 alum line in the tank is now cut and above the fuel level...may even take pics of this before I close it back up :flipoff2:

Short string... I will have to use that one now! Amazing what I learn here on Mud!

Hoping it doesn't rain so I can get the rv in the place.

And if Woody does the scoop up of the 55, I will just sleep in it if I get a little too "tired" late night. As for him taking it home with him...That's an option as well cause I sure would love to get the thing to Wisconsin. He's close enough to the cabin and I surely enjoy partying with his friends in Appleton.

Now all I need is the rv shop to actually finish so I can actually bring it!

Woody- if you have 'em, bring along a couple of 'mud stickers. I've given away my stash and I need to advertise for you on Bugly.

Thanks

Luke

lots of stickers will be with me....

fuel cell pickups are all done...finding a 1/2" compression fitting to a 5/16" hose barb 90 degree is NOT fun...hit the Parker store this morning and with 20 minutes of searching I finally found something that'd work...

of course, I was so excited to get it finished and running, I got the foam in there before i shot any pics....so use your imagination :D

Pig is all done. Trailer brakes are fixed and it even has the new plate mounted. Went out this morning and bought myself a new tent so I can compete with Clint and Carl.

One more provisioning trip and I'm all set.

I'll be there early to get the Cliffs new air compressor out of the back of my truck.

I am loaded and ready to go. I'll be hitting the road from Madison as soon as I can ditch work (3 ish)
See you guys Friday eve

If there is an extra xxl shirt I call dibs.

Al

Excellent pictures Al- I'm always envious of people that have the wherewithall to remember to break out the camera. I'm always the guy that at the end says "boy I sure hope someone got a picture of that".
