"Be in decent physical shape (as much as possible with a month to go)

Go easy on the alcohol"
Impossible...

Just mashed in a recipe for a mild pale ale. If it turns out good, I'll bring a growler to share.

Bavarian hefenweizen is up next.

Nice! Ill see if I can get a brew in the works in time for the trip.

OK, now that everybody in the world -and then some...- knows about this it will have an even better home in the Events forum.

Keep at it!

I'd say the incredible interest in the Southern 100s is what got this thread and trip where it is!

^^ is that the secret spot? That looks awesome!

It's way too hot down here in South Texas to so anything else right now, other than find a cool place to swim. Looking forward to those cool Colorado summer temps.

Same with Arkansas!

Made some headway prepping for our 21 day trip, including this event. Got my ORIGINAL timing belt changed after 217k miles(I was told it was changed....), started the front transfer case seal, and half installed the LED light bar.

Still need to mount and wire fridge, wire inverter/fuse block, and re-do my shower plumbing.

Work in progress: mounted CB connection box under the dash, routed the cable to the back, cut some steel plates and mocked up a bracket for mounting the antenna behind the stock bumper. Will weld the bracket at lunch today.
Hope I can still build some sliders with a month to go!

Any work on trucks going to be taking place? I'm kinda wondering how easy doing a dual battery set-up out there would be if I showed up with the parts to do it? I'm a little nervous about doing a dual battery and any wiring to my Edgestar. I figure with amount of experience and knowledge out there, a relative noob like me could get a decent amount of help with stuff.

It's always possible that an active wildland fire could close a trail/trails. That said, we have lot's of options for alternative routes.
