I do not have emission on my rig unfortunately....the smog pump and EGR was the 1st thing i removed along with all the vacuum lines....lol
However, you can almost pass emission by getting the engine hot, add a gallon of denatured alcohol into an empty tank 30 mins prior to pulling into emission.
i dont have emissions in my state but im still rocking my smog pump and friends. i might need sme advice when im ripping it all out lol

Hey guys. Got a small issue that's driving me insane. Power steering squeal. Typically happens at low rpms. I might be an idiot but how in the world do you tighten the ps belt. Pump has plenty of fluid and it is correct. I thought maybe air in the system so I jacked it up and tried working the air out of the system. No bubbles. So how the hell do you tighten the power steering belt. It seems there might be a bit of slack in it causing it to slip and squeal. Any ideas?

Haven't modified anything with the engine other than swapping the air filter and having some belts and gaskets replaced (valve cover, oil pan, etc). I'd eventually like to de-smog as well (CA truck now in OR, not needed. Had to replace O2 sensor while in CA.) and cat delete, or just new exhaust system...
Posted pics and other info on the 80 series registry.

The alternator and ps pump all can pivot to loosen/tighten. If you feel it's close and need to tighten just a little, you can go at via an adjustment screw on the alternator. Get to it just below the smog pump. Tightening the screw will kick it out slowly towards the fender.

Hello All,

Just picked up a very neglected 92 3FE. Probably the cheapest LC sold in Arizona that could be driven home.

Replaced rear shoes, drums, wheel cyls and hardware kit but when tried to bleed the LSPV is not allowing any fluid to pass to the rear wheels.

Has anyone had any luck repairing these?I read one thread but I usually don't mess with brake components and I'm probably going to just replace it.

Has anyone deleted the LSPV on their 80? After the suspension lift my rear brakes suck, my rear brakes have been completely redone and the whole system bled
Everything I have read on here says you need to adjust the LSPV after the lift. I have no idea how much, but it adjusts on the axle end, so small increments should make a difference I would think

Vehicle: 91 FJ80
Location: Central North Carolina

New to me, but I know I need to do a knuckle rebuild.

Did the knuckles last year. It's a hoot. 91 owner as well.

I watched the hour long video from OTRAMM, so it should only take me a little longer than that, right? ;)

its a land cruiser, not a soccer mom SUV. Mine is loud, but my fan clutch and aftermarket auxiliary fans are even louder on 4Lo high RPMS. I run Rotella 15W-40 Heavy duty diesel oil with good result on the engine.
