Found this thread as I was searching. Just had the oil galley plug blow on my 249k mile 3FE in my FJ62.

Yep, oil galley plug left the chat.

We're pursuing an epoxy press plug for a solution, think I turned off the engine before major trauma occurred. Mostly chiming in here to update the observed frequency of this.
