Working with Woody on getting it up guys..

The ISC is a 125 position step controller that under most conditions is capable of maintaining a 650 rpm idle speed on the 3FE. The Golden Screw is a fine tuning adjustment that works in parallel with the ISC. For grins, why not just gently tighten, clockwise, the scew and see what it does for your engine's idle #. Give the ECU a couple of days to sort the feedback and the idle will be at or near the recommended 650 rpm, I'm guessing.

In the past I have played with the screw and I saw no results on my idle rpm (either immediately following the adjustment or several days later). Do other people see an immediate response?

Yes - When I turn my "Golden Screw" I get real time feedback in the RPM's.

Will disco'ing the battery reset the ECU?

Will disco'ing the battery reset the ECU?

Yes but that is more drastic than you need to do if you have radio presets, clocks and other things you don't want to have to reset. Just pulling the EFI fuse for 15 minutes or more will work for resetting the ECU. You do still have the fuse block that was originally installed in the donor 3FE truck, don't you TJ?
