so to bleed diesel, is the movement procedure the same ?

I’m no expert by any means, but if I understand it correctly, you pump the hand primer and crack the bleed on the filter housing?

They're right. It is actually an O-ring I think. (But mine is flattened and has gone a bit hard so it looks more like a washer.)

And it does have an angled hole as I hope I have captured in this photo I took just now:

Oh. And it is actually an ordinary 6mm metric thread (and isn't a "fine" thread as I previously thought it could be).

you understood perfectly
therefore the bleeding procedure is the same

It just doesn’t screw down when done... seems weird but works fine.

Strangely I ordered this parts kit a few weeks ago but it's stuck at my US reciever. Not sure if it will work for these but I'll chime in when I get it.
